Safe-T Secure Managed File Transfer Offers New Support for iPhone, Blackberry, Lotus Notes and Outlook Express
Gartner IT Security & Risk Management Summit, National Harbor, MD (PRWEB) June 21, 2010 -- eTouchware has announced that its Safe-T Secure Managed File Transfer Solution (http://www.safe-t.com/) now offers secure managed file transfer for iPhone (http://www.apple.com/iphone/), iPad (http://www.apple.com/ipad/), BlackBerry (http://www.blackberry.com/), Lotus Notes (http://www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/notesanddomino/), Outlook Express (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/oe/default.mspx), Thunderbird, Opera and Eudora.
The expanded support was enabled by eTouchware’s new SafeRelay module that allows global deployment of the Safe-T Secure Managed File Transfer Solution without any mail server plug-ins or changes to the configuration of users’ mail clients or PDAs. By deploying SafeRelay, eTouchware has alleviated the need for IT to install a plug-in on hundreds or even thousands of computing devices across an enterprise.
“Deploying SafeRelay in the center of the network is a paradigm shift for managed file transfer,” says Amir Mizhar, CEO and Founder of eTouchware. “Until now, the industry’s focus has been on deploying software plug-ins on mail clients like Outlook and Lotus Notes. SafeRelay enables corporate IT departments to bring PDAs and other portable email devices under the aegis of Safe-T. Now everyone in the network can securely send all of their email and attachments through Safe-T.”
The addition of the SafeRelay module to eTouchware’s suite of software solutions enables enterprises to build a secure file transfer solution that meets the needs of their business. For quick and easy global deployment, enterprises can select SafeRelay. Security features such as one-time passwords, encryption, download limits and file expiration dates are centrally configured on the Safe-T Enterprise Server with user and group policies set by IT. For power users who need or want more control over how they send their files, IT can install the Safe-T plug-in for Microsoft Outlook on their desktop or laptop.

New Software Version 4.4 Features Live Package Recall
eTouchware has also announced general availability of Version 4.4 of its secure managed file transfer software. The new version includes a Live Package Recall feature that lets senders recall, edit, or change security settings of attachments after they have already been sent. Live Package Recall was developed at the request of a Safe-T customer that uses Safe-T to distribute mission-critical software updates to more than 10,000 customers. Additional features in the release include cross domain access control, multiple-use passwords and user names for frequent external users and more.
